Where are my notes?

On your iPhone, as Markdown files. Open the Files app, then On My iPhone, then Saane. You can copy, share or delete them there. Deleting a note in Saane deletes its recording, transcript and tasks.

Why does Saane ask for full calendar access?

Saane adds an event for a task with a due date and reads that same event back, so a date you change in Calendar shows on the task. iOS has no permission that allows reading back only the events an app created, so full access is the only way to do this. Saane never reads, changes or sends any other event. You can turn calendar sync off in the Tasks tab or revoke access in Settings.

Transcription is not starting

Saane uses Apple's on-device speech recognition and Apple Intelligence. Make sure Apple Intelligence is turned on in Settings and that the language model has finished downloading. A note that failed shows a retry button on its card.

Founder membership, restore and refunds

Purchases go through the App Store. To restore on a new phone, open the founder screen from the seal icon on the home screen and tap Restore purchases. To cancel or change a plan, use Manage subscription on the same screen, or Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Delete my data

Everything lives on your phone, so deleting the app deletes everything. The only record held elsewhere is the anonymous purchase record at RevenueCat. Email us and we will delete it.
